Individual Everyone goes through challenging events in life. It can be helpful to have assistance in better understanding yourself and your goals. Dr. Harvey utilizes person centered and brief therapy techniques to assist clients with managing personal, educational and professional transitions. Career Career counseling is based on the establishment of a professional counseling relationship focused on dealing with concerns beyond finding a job such as dissatisfaction at work, interpersonal relationship conflicts, or coaching for career advancement. These services may be covered by your Employee Assistance Program. HCPC accepts many EAP plans to cover these services. For list of programs click here.

Supervision Licensure is a logical next step in a counselors career development. Dr. Harvey uses Interpersonal Process Recall for the personal and professional development of counselors to: Assist supervisee(s) to identify their counseling styleProvide support in the mastery of counseling skillsAssist supervisee(s) understanding the function of the counselor/client relationship Assist supervisee(s) with learning to self-monitor in session. Workshops HCPC can develop customized education workshops to facilitate employee personal and professional development. Workshops are designed to support or enhance the mission and goals of your organization. The workshops can range from one hour to full day on-site convenient for employees.

Training Using Technology in Career Services Internet technologies have become an essential tool for career and professional development. Use of technology requires an understanding of the environment to insure access and benefits to clients. Individual and group training is provided to help career development professionals build knowledge and skills for their decision making in the appropriate and ethical use of technology in career planning services. Tristana Harvey, PhD has 15 years experience in education and counseling helping individuals meet their goals. In her work as a counselor, Dr. Harvey has conducted personal, career and educational counseling with diverse clients. She has presented on adult career development and diversity in the workplace with a number of audiences from career counselors to government human resource professionals.
